Good Business...

Tonight I had the pleasure of having my eardrums rattled to the distorted rhythms of Big Business at the Bottom of The Hill nightclub. Enjoyable indeed.

Fin

The spring semester is finally at a close and below are my final pieces: Three finished watercolor illustrations of Oscar Wilde's "The Selfish Giant" for Watercolor class and my last in-class head painting and Rembrandt copy for Head Drawing class, respectively.

Skate This

These are pics from the reception Friday night for the art show Skate This Art, which included the pinstriped board I completed a while back. The pieces in the show are sold via silent auction and half the proceeds from each piece sold go to a charity which helps homeless teenagers.

This the result of my third six-hour painting session from life in Head Drawing Class...

Just So You Know...

...it's been a while since I've painted with oils, especially from life. Nonetheless, this is the result of my second live model session in Head Drawing class.

Then There Were Two

Here are two of my latest drawings from Head Drawing class: one from life (above) and another Rembrandt copy (below.) Together they comprise the last two charcoal drawings I will be required to do, as we are now moving into the elaborate world of the painted portrait.

Carded

Since my assignments aren't hitting high scores on the "cool" chart at the moment, I now present several pictures from my evening at the LoBot Gallery's opening of the Cardburg 500. I went with several friends who acted as my pit crew for the intense four lap race. My team, Daz Bonerz, with the help of our souped up car the Peril Sedan, ended up with the second place trophy, losing to a five year old and her brother. Sadly, they were better sports than I was.
