Shallow Be Thy Name


I'm getting my act together and painting again. Above is the first of my thesis paintings--approx. 16x20 oil on paper. Below are some studies for possible future paintings..newborn chicks in need of a dose of reference to become spring chickens, if you will.

I love these pieces, especially the oil. There's a great give and take with the work, it's sharp in just the right places and the composition is great. Handling two different color temperatures without losing control of your palette is a real challenge and you've pulled it off.

Yes it's the best vat grown
abomination I've seen in a while!
